BACKGROUND:
We all like to eat. Some people are blessed with enjoying to prepare food and serving it to others. That’s Bill and Pauline. It’s watching the eyes light up that makes it worth it.  Although the food truck started with only kettle corn, they soon added 4 varieties of Brats and Sausage sandwiches, all of which are quarter pounders are locally sourced from right here in the Phoenix Valley. Since a cold fresh squeezed lemonade is all that’s needed to make the whole experience an addictive one, that was added to the menu!  Now you’ll find them doing what they love while serving central Arizona!

FAVORITE DISH:
Choosing between kettle corn, brat and sausage sandwiches and a lemonade is tough – so we don’t!  The combo with caramel kettle corn, a German brat (fully loaded of course) and a fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade is the tastiest way to go!

BACKGROUND:
Greg was a forensic accountant who thought it would be funny to sell pretzels shaped like mustaches.  So in 2014, he learned to bake, quit his job, and started a food truck that does just that!

FAVORITE DISH:
Don’t overthink it!  The Original Mustache Pretzel with butter and salt is the truck’s signature dish–and best seller.  Try it with a side of green chile queso and a house-made iced tea or Arnold Palmer!

BACKGROUND:
Growing up in Iowa in the restaurant family business beginning at 12 years of age, and working in a total of five different restaurants through his undergraduate degree set Cameron off on the love of food and beverage. His passion grew as he traveled to Japan, Europe and the Mediterranean discovering new and amazing food. Cameron’s 30 plus years of experience in the culinary arts together with his Venezuelan wife, Martha, who has made this cuisine her entire life and their shared love for amazing food make this pair a perfect team.

FAVORITE DISH:
Arepas, made of white corn meal and meat and cheese type fillings, are a delicious treat regardless of what you want inside!  Our favorite is the Yellow Moon with grilled chicken and cheddar cheese!

Comfort food is the best description but anything is possible on this Food Truck!  Shawn and Tamara have raised 4 children and are definitely the house all their friends want to be invited over for dinner.  Loaded fries, burgers, sandwiches, salads and so much more is what you’ll find on their menu although watch for new menu items depending on Tamara’s mood!

Tamara spent her childhood learning to cook from her Grammie, a natural in the kitchen.  She married Shawn (also amazing in the kitchen) and they have spent their life together raising 4 kids (who are the envy of their friends at mealtime!) and running a restaurant in Seattle.  A move to Arizona and kids moving out of the house to start their own lives has led Tamara and Shawn to their latest adventure together, When Pigs Fly OTG!

FAVORITE DISH:
Being around so many street chefs has taught us that the best way to enjoy street food is to ask the truck what the best thing on the menu is and just go with it.  It’s the best way to find the most amazing food at any event!  This truck is no exception.  With a menu that has staples but also new menu items every time we see them, just ask Shawn or Tamara to tell you about the best thing they have whipped up lately and you’ll be in for a treat!  You never know when something delicious like filet mignon and loaded mashed potatoes fit for a king will be on the menu!

BACKGROUND:
Dave started his culinary career at 17 as a US Navy diver and cook on board a rescue salvage ship in the western Pacific during Vietnam. After the Navy, he attended the University of Sydney, Australia, obtaining his Culinary Arts Degree. Within a short time, he returned to the US and worked for Peppermill and Houlihan’s restaurants, becoming a training and troubleshooting Chef for many locations. Dave was tapped to help create a little restaurant known as Romano’s Macaroni Grill, going from concept to reality. After attaining the level of Executive Chef, Dave moved to Phoenix, where he was the Executive Chef for Rio Verde/Tonto Verde Country Clubs. Eventually tired of the grind working for others and after 25 years, Dave changed his career completely for 15 years. He is now back, working for himself and doing what he loves.

FAVORITE DISH:
The many options of comfort food favorites (especially the scratch made chicken pot pie!) make a favorite hard to choose!  The meatloaf grilled cheese is a brilliant and delicious concoction and definitely what we recommend the next time you see the Food Truck out and about!

Chef Seth has cooked professionally in NM, NY, WA, BC, and ME and he runs The Pizza Sloth his vast culinary experience as an executive chef. Trained classically in French and Italian with specialties in baking, Chef Seth finds simplicity in utilizing local ingredients at their peaks to capture the flavors as they mingle with the wood fired flames of the custom built oven.

FAVORITE DISH:
While every pizza on the menu is a new experience combined with a witty name, “Meatasticka” is our favorite!  Topped with pepperoni, mozzarella, provolone and tomato sloths, this pizza is delicious just like it is on the menu but add jalapenos for a little more kick and it’s heaven!

BACKGROUND:
Chef Lorenzo has always mixed his passion for innovation with a respect for tradition. As a high-schooler, his robotics team beat out some of the most prestigious university teams in the country by using unorthodox engineering methods. Now, Lorenzo applies those same principles to his cooking and culinary ventures, as the owner of “Ni De Aqui Ni De Alla”. Lorenzo’s success in robotics created a community that rallied around him after he graduated from high school. Donors raised the funds necessary to send him to culinary school, and later, help him build the custom food trailer that houses his roaming restaurant.

FAVORITE DISH:
While we’ve had plenty of carne asada fries in our years in street food, chef Lorenzo’s version of this favorite takes it to the next level!  The unique addition of refried beans combined with high quality carne asada made in-house makes this dish the favorite when we see Ni De Aqui, Ni De Alla!

Joel’s culinary passion goes back to the days in El Salvador when their grandmother (Niña Martha) cooked and mother ( Miriam) took the family mobile food cart out to sell.  Years later in California, the family kept the tradition going at local soccer games. Upon arriving in Arizona, Miriam opened her first Salvadoran Restaurant in 2002. Her dream has expanded to 5 Restaurants in the Phoenix Valley plus Joel’s Food Truck. It always has been and always will be a family ran business!

The menu at Zpotes is filled with new culinary experiences but the pupusas are our must have menu item when we find this food truck!  They are made fresh from scratch daily and are as authentic as if you were strolling down the streets of El Salvador!
